Water found on the moon

From Morning Report, 7:19 am on 27 October 2020

Manned space travel has just got a bit easier, with NASA saying they've found more water than previously thought existed on the Moon.

On Monday morning NASA confirmed it had discovered water molecules on the sunlit parts of the moon, suggesting water could be spread across the lunar surface and not just limited to the lunar poles.

Chief exploration scientist Jacob Bleacher said the revelation could open up extended space travel, to the moon and beyond, as potentially less water would be needed at the start of missions.
