Toddler missed out on potentially life saving treatment due to inexperienced doctor and inadequate supervision - coroner

An inexperienced doctor and inadequate supervision meant a critically ill toddler did not get potentially life saving treatment.

Hineihana Mausii died in September 2013 a day after being discharged from Dunedin Hospital's emergency department for the second time in as many days.

RNZ Otago-Southland reporter Timothy Brown has been reading the coroner's findings and filed this report.
