Wellington train commuters urged to work from home

From Morning Report, 7:27 am on 25 June 2020

Wellington's train commuters are being asked to work from home today if possible.

A piece of rail lying next to the tracks damaged a number of commuter trains yesterday causing chaos when all services were cancelled while trains were checked.

Today all services on the Hutt Valley or Melling lines are being replaced by buses, there are limited services on the Kapiti line.

The Johnsonville and Wairarapa services are unaffected.
