Rental company sorry for pushing Otago flat bidding war

An Otago property management company has apologised for asking prospective tenants to enter into a bidding war to rent what it describes as "the most notorious flat on campus". After a backlash from Dunedin students, Cutlers Property Management dropped a tender campaign for the nine-bedroom flat called the Debacle on Cumberland Street. Otago University Student Association president James Heath told our reporter Brooke Jennner that while Cutlers' back-down was a win, property managers are known for taking advantage of students in the area.
