Labour shortage may be worst ever - Tasman orchardists

Fruit growers in Tasman say more needs to be done to deal with severe labour shortages, which will only get worse. The Ministry of Social Development declared a seasonal labour shortage across the region on April 5. That meant people on overseas visitor visas could apply for permission to work but Immigration New Zealand says few have done so.
