Weather: Overnight storm a wintry return for South Island

From Morning Report, 7:16 am on 8 November 2017

It's been a wild night of weather for the South Island. Huge gusts of wind caused power cuts on much of the West Coast, the top of the South Island and the east coast down into north Canterbury. Some areas are flooded, and some roads are blocked by fallen trees and power lines. There's also widespread snow down to low levels in the inland Otago. RNZ reporter Tracy Neal is in Nelson and joins us with the latest.
