Desert Valley Times reporter Lucas Thomas is in the Nevada city of Mesquite, where Las Vegas shooter Stephen Paddock was living for around nine months. Mr Thomas tells Susie Ferguson people are in shock, but they didn't know him.
One neighbour told Mr Thomas that Paddock barely came out of his house, and there was no interaction.
"There's not that personal reaction because people in this community don't seem to know who this guy was."
