Taranaki gas field to last decades more than thought

A hearing starting in Taranaki today could breathe new life into the halting quest for oil and gas off the coast of Taranaki. It could further invigorate the 38-year-old Maui gas field, which was written off as nearing depletion 15 years ago, but has turned out to enjoy a robust old age.
