Melbourne public housing tenants under lockdown distressed
Community organisations are scrambling to make sure the right support is available to the tenants living in the nine public housing towers in Melbourne placed into a hard lockdown. The three thousand people who live in the blocks are not allowed to leave their units amid fears Covid-19 could rip through the buildings as the state grapples with an outbreak of the virus. Emma King, who's the CEO of the Victorian Council of Social Services, told Lydia Batham the situation on the ground is a work in progress.
