Sophie Henderson is no stranger to stage and screen audiences in Aotearoa.
The actor and screenwriter's first film - Fantail premiered at Rotterdam Film Festival. In 2021- she worked with Taika Waititi and Rose Matafeo for her film Baby Done and in the same year,
The Justice of Bunny King premiered at Tribeca Film Festival - receiving a Nora Ephron Award Special Jury Mention. This year - her comedy film Workmates - based off her time running the Basement Theatre in Auckland hit cinemas.
But now she's taken up the position as the new artistic director of Silo Theatre - taking over from Sophie Roberts.
This week, Silo launched its programme for the 2026 season.
