Corrections Minister defends big prison drug rehab funding cut

The Corrections Minister is defending a major decrease in the number of prisoners going through drug and alcohol rehabilitation programmes.

The number of inmates getting treatment has fallen from just over 4,000 in 2017 to just over 900.

Kelvin Davis says there's more investment in intensive treatment, but those numbers are dropping too.
