US Supreme Court controversy: Amy Coney Barrett confirmed

From Checkpoint, 5:15 pm on 27 October 2020

America's highest court shifted even further to the right this afternoon, with the confirmation of Amy Coney Barrett as the newest Supreme Court justice.

The US Senate voted to install her as Ruth Bader Ginsburg's replacement by a vote of 52 to 48.

Her election means even if President Trump loses next week's election, his influence on American politics will continue long after he's gone.

Worldwatch's Max Towle filed this report.
