Level 3 in Auckland: Roads busy, shops grapple with new rules

From Checkpoint, 5:14 pm on 28 April 2020

In Auckland, it was all about coffee and the prospect of expanding bubbles as New Zealand adjusted to life under lockdown level 3.

Level 3 eased some restrictions to breathe some life back into the economy, and allow a few more activities - but strict bans remain on socialising or group gatherings.

With new Covid-19 safety practices in place across the board, it has taken some work, but businesses and shoppers say they are just happy to get the money moving again.

Checkpoint cameraman Nick Monro and reporter Nita Blake-Persen headed out to catch the action.
