Last week the government announced 18 new protected areas in the Hauraki Gulf Marine Park, along with limiting trawl fishing to carefully selected corridors, in a bid to restore the health of the area.

The strategy is in response to the call for action made by the 2017 Sea Change - Tai Timu Tai Pari Hauraki Gulf Marine Spatial Plan.

3:30 Spoken Feature: BBC Witness history

It was one of the most reported UFO sightings in recent history. In 1994 local people in the quiet rural town of Ruwa in Zimbabwe reported seeing strange lights in the sky and around 60 children said they'd seen a spaceship and aliens near their school playground.  The children drew pictures of what they'd seen.  Rebecca Kesby has been listening to archive reports filed by a BBC TV crew who were among the first on the scene.
