Fiji health authorities urging public to heed Covid directives

Fiji's health officials are urging the public to take warnings about Covid-19 seriously, as the country's capital prepares to go into a three day lockdown.

This comes as the World Health Organisation announced that the highly transmissable B 16-17 variant of the virus, first found in India, has spread to 49 countries, including Fiji.

Christine Rovoi has been following the developments there and joins me now.
