Academic Terence Wood says substantive change to the way New Zealand spends its foreign aid will ensure it achieves its aims.
Last week Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern appointed Nanaia Mahuta as Foreign Minister with Aupito William Sio as her deputy.
Mr Wood, who helps compile the NZADDs dialogues on New Zealand aid, told Don Wiseman it's great news two Polynesians are heading the ministry.
