Australian migration policy leaves Pacific people in limbo

Pacific Islanders are among many people in limbo because of Australia's migration policy.

Border restrictions due to the covid-19 pandemic have not helped, with over two-hundred thousand people waiting to get visas to be with their partners and family in Australia.

According to a former Papua New Guinea judge, Brian Brunton, who was an Australian before PNG gained independence in 1975, Australia's migration system is badly managed and racist.

He spoke to Johnny Blades about his concerns over Australia's migration policy.
