New church opens for Tuvalu community in Auckland

The first Tuvaluan Christian congregation in New Zealand has a new church which has been years in the making. 

The congregation was established 28 years ago and its new church in west Auckland was designed by the Australian-based Tuvaluan architect, Fakalulu Ben Kofe.

The cost of the building was about $US2 million, which has all been paid off.

Sela Jane Hopgood was at the opening.
