A 58-year-old father has been charged with the murder of his 35-year-old son in Samoa, after the younger man died as a result of a beating.

The victim was taken to hospital by ambulance but died on the way.
Police said preliminary investigations revealed that the victim had been drinking and was assaulted by his father.
Soon after the beating, the victim's wife noticed an alarming change in her husband's condition and called an ambulance.
The father has been named as Amituana'i Pesamino Kelemete Osa of Vaitele Uta
