Three men in Court over Samoa market attack

Three men appeared in court last week over the ransacking of the Salelologa market in Samoa earlier this year.

The Samoa Observer reported the accused as Junior Pauli Mark, Tony Fiu Tafea and Viliamu Touli Fagaese.

Mark faces two charges of intentional damage, Tafea faces one charge of being armed with a firearm and Fagaese faces charges of being armed with a dangerous weapon.

Judge Fepulea'i Ameperosa Roma asked for a probation report given the seriousness of the charges.

He also referred the matter to be called in Apia for sentencing on the August 8.
