More than 400 drivers in Fiji have been ticketed for speeding and 38 drivers have been arrested for drinking and driving over the past four days.
FBC news reported the arrests and notices were part of Police Operation 'Yaledoi' which started on Friday and will last throughout the festive season.
Police said within 24 hours, 135 drivers were booked for speeding, while four drivers were arrested for drinking and driving.
Chief of Operations, Rusiate Tudravu, has raised concerns that despite numerous warnings, drivers continue to break the law.
The road toll currently stands at 66 compared to 53 for the same period last year.
