Five houses on Tonga's far northern island of Niuatoputapu were flooded following heavy rain earlier this week.

Radio Tonga reported people were shocked by the flooding but also happy to see the end of a drought that started in January.
Tonga's MET office said 100 millimetres of rain fell over the island on Monday night.
