The Vanuatu government is arranging for the repatriation of three ni-Vanuatu seasonal workers who died in a head-on collision in Queensland at the weekend.
The Cairns Post reported the men were pronounced dead at the scene after the minibus they were in crashed head-on into a semi-trailer in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Two other male passengers were discharged from hospital.
Police were still trying to identify the bodies and contact the families.
The remains of the men are expected to be sent home in the coming days.
The Cairns Post reported the men worked for Seasonal Work Australia which provides workers from the Pacific Islands to farms across the country.
People gathered at the El Arish crash site on Sunday to lay flowers.
