Samoa has named a provisional extended 25-man training squad for next month's inaugural Brisbane Tens rugby tournament.

The naming of the squad comes after a month of intense trials in Apia and includes a number of internationals.

The Rugby Union held three rounds of National Ten's play on November before trial squads were announced including Manu Samoa players like Oneone Faafou and Patrick Fa'apale.

This week a 25 man squad was announced and released on the Manu Samoa's official facebook page, before being removed.

The team included former sevens captain Fa'alemiga Selesele, who is expected to lead the team in Brisbane, and 15s internationals like Greg Foe, Opetera Pelesuma, D'Angelo Leuila, Faafou and Fa'apale.

Former U20 captain Jared Adam was also named.

The final team is expected to be announced at the end of the month before the Brisbane tournament starts February 11.

Samoa are drawn in the same pool as the Crusaders, Blues and Queensland Reds super rugby sides
