The Vanuatu Prime Minister Charlot Salwai says he wants more focus on the entire productive sector in the country.
Last week the European Union and New Zealand announced announced a partnership aimed at supporting sustainable agricultural development.
The scheme aims to boost productivity and returns for agricultural producers, initially in the beef sector.
Mr Salwai welcomed the joint agreement and says he is looking forward to developing the whole rural sector.
He said this sort of development would create opportunities, help develop rural communities, and build the national economy.
