Sport: Waratahs coach joins Samoa coaching staff

New South Wales Waratahs coach Daryl Gibson has joined the Manu Samoa coaching staff as a technical advisor for this month's June internationals.

The 41 year old is a former All Black teammate of Samoa head coach Alama Ieremia.

Former Samoa lock Kane Thompson, who represented the Manu at the past three World Cups, has also joined the coaching team as a technical advisor, while Hurricanes tecnhnical advisor Richard Watt has been appointed forwards coach.

Grant Henson works as the set piece coach at Counties Manukau and will fill the same role for Samoa, while David Edgar has been appointed as strenth and conditioning coach.

Samoa host Georgia in Apia next weekend before Pacific Nations Cup tests against Fiji and Tonga.
