The Ipswich Jets are the Queensland Cup rugby league champions for the first time, after beating Townsville 32-20 in last nights grand final.
The result was in the balance until the final minute, with hooker Matt Parcell inflating the winning margin with a try in the final seconds of the game.
It was just the fourth loss in 27 matches for the Blackhawks in their debut season, with Ipswich winning their last six matches en-route to their maiden title, including against the Papua New Guinea Hunters last weekend.
The Jets will face off against the winners of the New South Wales Cup, the Newcastle Knights, in next week's State Championship in Sydney, as part of NRL grand final day.
