Vanuatu can clinch promotion from World Cricket League 6 with a victory against Suriname in tonight's semi final clash in Essex.
The Melanesians topped Group B with victories against Cayman Islands and Norway and had an extra day off, following Saudi Arabia's withdrawal from the tournament.
The President of Vanuatu Cricket, Mark Stafford says the goal now is clear.
"The major match of the tournament, from our perspective, is the next one - the crossover semi - because winning the crossover semi will guarantee us promotion to division five. Of course then we will do our best to win the tournament in the the Sunday matches".
Only the top two teams will gain promotion with Guernsey and Norway to contest the other semi final.
