A boat remains grounded on a reef in the Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas after running aground on the northern side of Rota Island five days ago.
The Department of Public Safety says four Filipino fishermen sent out a distress call saying the captain had fallen asleep and they were unable to free the vessel from the reef.
The four rescued men were not injured and the ship's owners, WJC Fish Market, are working with authorities to safely remove the boat.
