Thomas Bach is making courtesy calls around the region and met the Vanuatu President, Father Baldwin Lonsdale and the Prime Minister, Joe Natuman, today.

He says the IOC has allocated half a million US dollars and its first priority will be repairs to the hockey facilities located at Wan Smolbag Theatre Group premises near Port Vila.

"Up to 1000 kids a day are playing sports there - playing futsal, basketball, volleyball, of course also hockey and other sports. There we can start right away."
