The Papua New Guinea police say arrangements are being made for the deportation of six Filipinos who were jailed for illegally entering PNG.

The six were convicted last year and each sentenced to six months hard labour at the Buino Correctional Facility in Morobe Province

Police are liaising with Interpol and PNG's Departments of Foreign Affairs, Trade & Immigration and the Philippines Embassy to arrange the deportation of the six Filipinos back to their country of origin after they have served their jail terms.
