Fijian rugby star Nemani Nadolo has been named the Digicel Pacific Island Players' Player of the Year for 2014.

Players from the Samoa, Fiji and Tonga teams cast their votes following last year's November internationals.

Nemani Nadolo was named Fijian player of the year, capping a phenomenal season in which he scored 12 tries in 15 games for the Crusaders Super Rugby team, and seven in as many tests for the Flying Fjians.

Tevita Halaifonua was named Tongan Players of the Year and Kahn Fotuali'i Samoan player of the year.

Nadolo says it's a huge honour to receive such an amazing award and to be voted not only by his teammates, but players from the other Pacific Island nations.
