The appointment of Siosiua Po'oi Pohiva, who is the son of the new Prime Minister, 'Akilisi Pohiva, attracted claims of nepotism, and he has now been moved to distance himself from the fake email addresses.

Emails from the fake accounts have made accusations against the Acting Chief Secretary and Secretary for Cabinet, 'Aholotu Palu.

The office of the Prime Minister has asked the public to disregard any email that is not from Mr Pohiva's Yahoo account, saying contemptible acts have been committed and are ongoing.

The office says the hateful acts insult efforts of the Prime Minister and his new government in the pursuit of their vision.
