Australia is to provide infrastructure kits for 30 schools in the highlands of Papua New Guinea.
The Australian foreign minister, Julie Bishop, has announced the aid during a visit to Goroka in Eastern Highlands.
She says the kits will improve children's access to school and the quality of learning by providing a double classroom, teacher's house, separate girls' and boys' toilets, water tanks and a full furniture fit out.
It is part of an Australian scheme to build, in conjunction with the PNG government, more than 1000 classrooms in rural and remote areas.

So far more than 500 classrooms have been completed.
Ms Bishop will also launch two books at a Buk bilong Pikinini library to help improve women's basic literacy.
