Axiom Mining has announced what it calls excellent initial results from its drilling programme on the Isabel Nickel Project in Solomon Islands.
In a release, Axiom says the drilling has produced results that identify significant grade and extension of mineralisation to depths that had not been evaluated by previous studies or exploration.
The company's CEO Ryan Mount says there is clearly substantial potential for grade and tonnage as Axiom extends drilling deeper to the higher grade saprolite zone, which previous explorers were unable to access due to technological constraints.
Drilling is to continue into 2015 with the aim of upgrading data across the deposit to progress the project towards mine development phase.
