Sport: Pro opposition a learning curve for Fiji footballers

Fiji Under 20s football coach Ravinesh Kumar says his team is relishing the chance to test themselves against top opposition at the OFC President's Cup in Auckland.

The side is using the six-team event as preparation for next year's FIFA Under 20 World Cup in New Zealand.

Fiji take on Busaiteen from Bahrain in the final match in Group B on Friday.

Both sides were beaten by Vanuatu's Amicale FC earlier this week and Ravinesh Kumar is expecting another difficult encounter.

"We saw the quality of the players, their first touch and the technique. The tactics of the players they are pretty good but then on the other hand it is very good for us to play against a professional club which is giving us more experience to prepare ourselves for the World Cup".

In the final Group A clash, O-League winners Auckland City take on Bodden Town from the Cayman Islands.
