Two electorates in Papua New Guinea's Hela Province have been declared fighting zones after the latest deaths in ongoing tribal fighting.
A man, woman and a child were gunned down by rival clansmen as tribal fighting continues in the capital Tari.
The killings took place during the burial of three men that had been killed by the same clan last month.
The local MP, Finance Minister James Marape and the provincial government have declared the two electorates as fighting zones which will allow soldiers to conduct special operations in the area.
