Ruavatu Provincial Secondary School on north-east Guadalcanal in Solomon Islands is closing its doors for the academic year this weekend after recent sex attacks on female students.
Education authorities decided on the early closing after an attack on the school by teenagers from nearby villages early las Saturday.
The attackers raped a female student and abducted another.
Police say more than 15 youths allegedly forced their way into the girls dormitory.
They harassed and indecently assaulted the girls who were still sleeping.
The statement says the police have so far arrested five youths in connection with the assaults.
