A nine year old American boy allegedly kidnapped by his father has been found safe in Niue.
The FBI have been searching for Billy Hanson and his father since September, after they set sail from Seattle, and had not been seen since.
A federal arrest warrant was issued for Billy's father, Jeffrey Ford Hanson, after he was charged wtih international parental kidnapping, and the FBI extended the search for the pair to all Pacific nations.
The FBI says local authorities found the boy safe, and his father is now in custody in Niue.
Billy's family has been notified and authorities are now working to reunite Billy with his mother.
