Princess Anne is to address the Emerging Pacific Leaders Dialogue in Vanuatu today.
The Princess Royal has already officiated at an award ceremony, presenting a Yorkshire man, Tony Whitley, with a Member of the British Empire Medal.
He was praised for his pioneering efforts in education in Santo and for his contributions towards fighting leprosy in the Pacific.
Mr Whitley opened a school in an isolated village at Matantas in the middle of the Santo bush many years ago.
In recent years, they moved to Luganville and opened the Rowhani Baha'i School which now has over 200 students.
