Fiji Finance Minister submits Auditor General's report

Fiji's government finances dating back to 2007 have been submitted before Parliament by the Attorney General, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum, this morning.

Fiji Live reports Mr Sayed-Khaiyum as saying the Auditor General's report covers all of government's financial and appropriation statements from 2007 to 2013, including those of ministries and departments.

The reports will be presented to the Standing Committee on Public Accounts which will be responsible for presenting the content of the report to Parliament.

It is the first time the government's spending has been made public in the last seven years.
