PNG PM signals full probe into plane crash

Papua New Guinea's Prime Minister has expressed condolences to the families of the passengers and crew of an airplane that crashed on approach to Port Moresby on Saturday.

The Hevilift Twin Otter aircraft came down near the capital with nine people on board.

The two pilots and one passenger were killed in the crash.

Another passenger reportedly died later.

The remaining passengers are being treated at a Port Moresby hospital.

Peter O'Neill says the thoughts of the nation are with the families of the four people who lost their lives.

He says they are praying for the recovery of the five survivors.

The Prime Minister has assured the families of those involved in the crash, and the public, that the cause of the crash will be fully investigated.
