Sport: Fa'amanu Brown out of Four Nations

1:19 pm on 16 September 2014

Cronulla Sharks five-eighth Fa'amanu Brown has been ruled out the Four Nations rugby league competition due to an injury sustained in final round of the NRL regular season.

Brown had been named in both the Toa Samoa and Kiwis train-on squads and earlier this year was forced to withdraw from the Pacific Test due to injury.

Meanwhile Fiji Bati international Tariq Sims' season could be over after the North Queensland Cowboys forward was hit with a grade three shoulder charge by the NRL judiciary - a sanction that carries at least a five-match ban.

The Cowboys face defending premiers the Sydney Roosters on Friday for a place in the NRL Grand Final qualifier.
