The Satala Power Plant and Facility Replacement Project costs close to $12 million US dollars with 90 percent of the cost funded by the Federal Emergency Management Agency and 10 percent by the American Samoa Power Authority.

The Power Authority has already purchased seven generators, switchgear, auxiliaries and associated equipment costing approximately $36 million dollars that will be housed at the power plant.
