Youth leaders from 18 Pacific nations will meet in Samoa this week for the second Future Leaders of the Pacific conference.
The delegates will spend three days discussing regional issues such as non-communicable diseases, gender equality, climate change and sustainable development in the region.
The event is being held in the lead-up to the United Nations Small Islands Developing States conference in Apia next week.
The youth conference is co-organised by the US embassies in New Zealand and Samoa, in partnership with the East-West Centre in Hawaii.
