Vijay Singh says he's looking forward to returning home for next week's inaugural Fiji International tournament at the Natadola Bay course he helped design.

Singh is one of the headline names for the $US1 million tournament, which is co-sanctioned by the PGA Tour of Australasia and OneAsia, and will be broadcast to a worldwide audience across more than 30 countries in over 400 million homes.

Singh arrives back in Fiji on Tuesday and says he's looking forward to competing in front of his friends and family, as he hasn't been back in five or six years.

The 51 year old is currently in Kentucky where he will contest the final major of the year, the PGA Championship.

He will be one of three Fijians in the field alongside Dinesh Chand and Sam Lee, who secured his spot in qualifying last weekend.
