One body has been recovered early this morning following a private plane crash in waters off American Samoa.
The Federal Aviation Administration spokesperson says the single-engine plane crashed into the ocean last night under after departing from Pago Pago International Airport.
It says preliminary reports are that there were two people on board, and the U.S Coast Guard has located the wreckage.
The plane is registered to a company in the U.S. state of Indiana.
Samoa News reports that one body was discovered by local marine patrol officials early this morning.
