Vanuatu's top beach volleyball pairing of Miller Elwin and Henriette Iatika have narrowly missed out a place in the main draw at the Hague Transavia Grand Slam event in the Netherlands.
The Pacific Games champions beat an Austrian pairing in straight sets in the first round of qualifying before going down in three sets against the third seeded Germans Chantal Laboureur and Julia Großner 21-18 16-21 11-15.
