A woman on Kiritimati Island in Kiribati has died from stab wounds after she was allegedly attacked by her mentally ill husband.
Radio Kiribati reports the killing happened on Thursday and comes just a week after another woman was killed on Tarawa.
Four women in Kiribati have been killed this year allegedly by their husbands or partners.
The Ministry of Women has told the Kiribati Independent that it is looking at how to promote awareness on domestic violence, and to consider assistance for the children of the four women.
