The renovated Levuka sub-divisional hospital in Fiji was opened this morning.
The upgrade, which cost about 171,000 US dollars, includes a new outpatient department, ante-natal care clinic, and improved sanitation, infection control, storage and disability access.
It was funded by the Australian government's Fiji Health Sector Support Programme.
The hospital caters for an estimated 15,000 people in the Lomaiviti group.
